The spirit is a major part in receiving revelation, without it we could not receive answers to our prayers.We gain a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by praying to Heavenly Father and asking him if it is true.We also study the scriptures and listen for the promptings of the spirit.
As we study the scriptures it trains us to recognize the promptings of the spirit.The scriptures are the words of Christ and because, they are it helps us to discern between the voice of the spirit and the promptings of Satan.
